HOLLISTER // Police have arrested three suspects on gun charges after receiving reports of several people drinking and flashing their guns in a parking lot on McCray Street.
On January 30th at around 9 PM, officers arrived at the Jack In The Box restaurant on McCray, where they spoke with five men hanging around a vehicle. Two of them — 20-year-old Daniel Villagomez and 19-year-old Alfred Valencia — were found to be in possession of concealed (and loaded) handguns and were arrested without incident. Ammunition was also found in the vehicle and one of the guns turned out to be stolen.
Officers also spoke with two juveniles, who were later released to their parents.
Villagomez is charged with carrying a loaded firearm, having a firearm concealed a vehicle, and possession of stolen property, while Valencia is charged with carrying a loaded firearm, concealing a firearm in a vehicle, and obstruction.
20-year-old Jose Astorga, the driver, was also arrested and charged with “allowing firearms in his vehicle.”
