Police seek homeless man for stabbing on California Street

REDDING // Police are seeking the arrest of 26-year-old Thomas Carrell of Redding after an altercation which escalated to a stabbing on February 8th.
At around 11:30 that night, a man walked into Shasta Regional Medical Center requiring emergency care for a stab wound to his lower torso. Local police arrived and met with the man, who goes by the street name “Havoc,” and learned he’d been stabbed after getting into an argument with Carrell in a parking structure on California Street.
After the altercation had seemingly ended, Carrell stabbed him as he walked away. The victim, being homeless with no mode of transportation or ability to call for assistance, walked to the medical center on his own.
Carrell is described as a white male standing approximately 5’11” and weighing 150 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. According to police, he is homeless himself and does not own a vehicle.
