STILLWATER – Early on Tuesday morning two deputies were patrolling on Highway 44 when they saw a man climbing a hill near a construction site with a plastic gas can in hand.
As the deputies approached, the man ran back down the hill and got into his silver truck. The truck had Texas license plates.
Law enforcement stopped Jason Goltz before he left the scene. He said was going to visit friends. His plans changed when authorities discovered he had an outstanding felony warrant out for burglary.
On top of that, the truck Goltz drove was stolen from Redding two days previous. There were also several license plates from various states in a toolbox in the truck.
Goltz has been arrested three times the past year, ten times in all. He was charged with stolen property in addition to his existing warrant.
