ALTURAS – The MCSO received a call of a physical assault. Turns out the assault was an attempted murder with a golf club. The victim named 44-year-old Eugene David Bell as his attacker.
First of all, on the evening of May 23 Bell attacked 64-year-old Gerald Miller. Police “found (Miller) with a severe head injury.”
The victim furthermore related that a “verbal altercation” preceded the assault. Bell of course left the scene when law enforcement arrived. Also, he left his weapon behind.
The next day deputies located Bell “hiding out in a tent in a trailer park.” The trailer park sits near the Sheriff’s office.
Bell’s charge is attempted murder and his bail is $500,000.
