TEMECULA – San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF) launched a recent operation. They sought to locate a human trafficker pimping, pandering and trafficking minors and an adult in November 2017.
Two trafficked minor females reported Damon Beverly (35) of San Jacinto to Ontario PD. They only knew him by the moniker “KD.”
Subsequently, HTTF Corporal N. Lefler continued to investigate the case. With the assistance of other task force members, Cpl. Lefler positively identified Beverly in June 2018.
Because the suspect continually posted prostitution advertisements, Cpl. Lefler found his ad on July 2nd. Aiming for an unidentified location in Riverside County, Task Force investigators set up an undercover operation.
As a result, Beverly responded through the advertisement. HTTC went to a motel on the 27000 block of Jefferson Avenue, in Temecula. They saw his vehicle in the parking lot and responded to the motel room.
Consequently, Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies from Temecula assisted with a traffic enforcement stop on the suspect’s vehicle on Interstate 15. They then took Beverly into custody without incident.
Investigators rescued the advertised adult at the motel room. Ontario PD interviewed both the victim and Beverly.
As a result, Beverly was arrested at OPD for Felony Pimping, Pandering and Human Trafficking of a Minor and Adult. His victims are three juvenile females (confidential) and one adult female (24)(confidential).
The suspect now has a $1 million bail. In addition, investigators believe there are other unidentified victims related to this case.
