Stacked and Staged Electronics in Burglarized Home, ‘We Were Looking for Water”

CHICO – The burglars “stacked and staged” electronics at the front door of a home. Deputies on roving patrols discovered it, and the pair responsible for staging it.
On July 29 around 2:30 a.m., deputies rode the area of the Carr fire. That is when a homeowner form the 11000 block of Quartz Hill Road flagged them down.
The homeowner, on another part of his property, returned to his home and saw fresh show prints inside.
Other deputies arrived to assist. They saw another residence with its front door forced open.
This is the home where they noticed the electronics “stacked and staged by the front door.”
Investigators believed the suspect/suspects may be on foot in the area.
The press releases states, “Officers responded to 16812 McLeod Road because it was known from criminal activities in the past.”
At that residence officers spoke to 19-year-old Jack Fannin and 25-year-old Jade Ball.
In addition, they found evidenced that linked the pair to the burglaries. Fannin alleged that they were “looking for water.”
Both suspects are charged with looting in an evacuated area, entering a disaster area and conspiracy.
