“At approximately 5:15 this evening, Officers from our Special Enforcement Unit were patrolling the 2900 block of Piedmont Avenue when they observed Garrett Elshere. The Officers knew Elshere had an active warrant for his arrest.
Upon seeing Officers, Elshere fled into a residence. Officers surrounded the residence and attempted to de-escalate the situation by requesting Elshere surrender via PA announcements and cell phone contact.
After approximately 1.5 hours Elshere attempted to flee the residence on foot and was taken into custody.
Thanks to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team for the assistance.”

“Aproximadamente a las 5:15 de esta noche, los oficiales de SEU estaban patrullando la cuadra 2900 de Piedmont Ave cuando observaron a Garrett Elshere. Los oficiales sabían que Elshere tenía una orden de arresto activa.
Al ver a los oficiales, Elshere huyó a una residencia. Los oficiales rodearon la residencia e intentaron disminuir la situación pidiendo que Elshere se rindiera a través de anuncios y contacto por teléfono celular.
Después de aproximadamente una hora y media, Elshere intentó huir de la residencia a pie y fue detenido.
Gracias al equipo de drones de la oficina del alguacil del condado de Napa por la ayuda.”
