The Roseville Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding the fourth suspect in the March 2013 murder of college student John Paul Alpert, according to a recent press release.
On June 26, 2014, Roseville PD reportedly received an arrest warrant for Charity Ann Williams, 28, a transient with family ties in Southern California. She was reportedly last seen in north Washington State in early June, and she is an experienced train rider with a network of friends throughout the US. Williams is described as a white female adult, 5’8″ tall, 160 pounds, blonde hair and green eyes.
According to Roseville PD, victim Alpert was a college student from Palmdale, CA, who is believed to have traveled from Palmadale to Roseville in March 2013 by freight train hopping. Investigators reportedly believe Alpert was beaten to death, and three suspects were arrested in March 2014 and charged with his murder — Laura Kenner, Edward Anauo, and Jules Carrillo. Detectives reportedly continued the investigation and recently obtained probable cause to arrest Williams.
Roseville PD is reportedly releasing information on Williams in the hopes of obtaining the public’s help in her apprehension, as well as for the safety of the public. If Williams is seen, Roseville PD asks citizens to not try and contact her, but rather to contact their local law enforcement agency immediately. Those who have information on Williams’ whereabouts are asked to contact Roseville PD at 916-774-5070.
UPDATE: On Tuesday, July 1, Roseville Police announced that Charity Ann Williams had been arrested in Tacoma, Washington by Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies. She is being held in their jail pending return to Placer County.
