OAKLAND — A parolee is back in jail for the holidays. Shortly after being paroled from prison for a robbery conviction, a man was arrested for allegedly committing another robbery.

The man is suspected of robbing a business on the 2000 block of Market Street. The robbery happened on December 3rd at about 8:45 p.m.

The man entered the business and walked straight up to the cash register where he then confronted an employee, and started shooting up the place.

The employee was wounded during the incident, before the armed robber fled on foot. The victim received medical treatment and is recovering from gunshot wounds.

The suspect fled along 21st Street, and he managed to avoid police contact for a week. However, once their paperwork was ready, police went to his Oakland residence with a warrant, and conducted a search.

Oakland police recovered multiple firearms from his residence. And they arrested 25-year-old Jerome R. Page on December 10th at 3:52 p.m.

Page was taken to Santa Rita Jail, where he remains in custody. His charges are second degree robbery, and intentional discharge of a firearm. Page is due to appear in court on December 27 for a plea hearing.

If Page has any plans for Christmas outside jail, he will need to come up with $2.5 million bail.
