Three Arrested Amid Search Warrant in Connection to Alleged Drug Trafficking in Calaveras County

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrests of three people in connection to a months-long investigation into suspected narcotics trafficking in neighboring Amador County, according to an agency media release.

The arrests were made when multiple law enforcement bodies — Calavas and Amador County SWAT teams, California Highway Patrol, and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, among others — converged to serve a search warrant on the 10000 block of Camanche Parkway in Burson on the morning of January 24, the Sheriff’s Office said.

As law enforcement arrived on the scene, one of the suspects, identified as 43-year-old Timothy Daniel Stuart Jr., came out of one of the travel trailers on the property and allegedly tried to flee on a motorcycle, nearly striking several officers on his way, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Stuart allegedly drove on down the long dirt driveway, but began to lose control of the motorcycle as he gained speed and eventually crashed. He was then taken into custody without further incident.

A second individual, identified as 21-year-old Laura Daun Alice Soderholm, was reportedly detained as she was exiting the same trailer Stuart Jr. had come from.

Law enforcement then searched the trailer and recovered over two pounds of meth, thirty grams of heroin, two loaded semi-automatic handguns, a loaded revolver, ammunition, a stolen motorcycle, and unspecified stolen property from the East Bay Municipal Utilities district, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Stuart Jr. was later booked on suspicion of multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and other related charges.

Soderholm was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and resisting arrest.

A third individual, identified as 59-year-old Ronald Lynn Clubb, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a misdemeanor warrant, the Sheriff’s Office said.
