NEWARK — Authorities are seeking information concerning other potential victims of a school teacher who was arrested earlier this month. The former Newark teacher is accused of inappropriately communicating with six boys and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Police initiated an investigation and contacted the Newark Unified School District last September. The investigation was prompted by reported inappropriate communication between a teacher and one minor.
Investigators later identified six boys, ages from 14 to 17, who may have been victims of the accused teacher. The most recent incident that was reported, occurred on September 20th.
This now former teacher, Aaron Holbrook, 42 of San Lorenzo, is accused of sending inappropriate communications to the boys. However, these boys were not students at the school where Holbrook formerly taught.
The case was presented to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, and Holbrook was arrested on December 7th. He was booked at the Fremont Police Department Jail, and later released from custody.
